Crescendo International Competition in Pennsylvania and Around the World

We are pleased to announce that Crescendo International Competitions has finally arrived in Pennsylvania!

The first competition will be the Crescendo International Music Competition (ages 5-21) held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Cairn University in Langhorne, and Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Jacobs Music in Center City Philadelphia. Students pick one day to audition. The 1st and 2nd place Winners’ Recitals will be held in Carnegie Hall in early 2019.

The second competition will be the Little Mozarts Music Competition (ages 3-14) held on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Jacobs Music in Doylestown. 1st and 2nd place Winners’ Recitals will be held in Carnegie Hall in Spring 2019.

Students can audition for either competition with one piece on any musical instrument, up to 6 minutes in length. In order to make Crescendo Competitions in PA a success in its first year, we ask that you send us a preliminary plan of 1) the number of students you are planning to send to each competition, 2) which locations you will attend, and 3) which instruments your students will audition on (e.g. piano, violin, cello, flute, voice, etc). This preliminary information is due October 1, 2018 to crescendocompetitionpa@gmail.com. The final official deadline for submission of the full application is November 1, 2018.

More detailed information is available on the website at https://www.crescendocompetition.org/. For additional inquiries, you can text us at 267-334-2729 or email crescendocompetitionpa@gmail.com.

Our mission is to inspire individuals to pursue their passion for music through involvement in competitions, master classes and other educational programs. Crescendo’s vision of placing Teachers and Students at the center of the process distinguishes us from other music competitions.

We believe that the expert in anything was once a beginner. And young musicians need Encouragement, Inspiration and Motivation.

Our objective is not simply to select the best musicians, but to reward those who demonstrate a passion for music and show considerable progress, talent and unwavering dedication.

Since our first event held in 2007 our programs have grown tremendously and we have been getting numerous thank you letters from parents, teachers and contestants.  As the name suggests, Crescendo Competitions is gradually growing louder and stronger thanks to your support and dedication to music education.

For your convenience we have launched a new on-line registration system where all participants will register, apply for auditions, get results and register for recitals.  Applications are accepted on our main website - look for the blue “Apply Now” button, or you can go directly to https://crescendoregistration.org and start there.

The new system requires users to register as a Teacher, a Parent or an Independent Student.  Each user gets a profile to apply for auditions, track audition results and register winners for recitals by their choice.  Teachers and Parents add students to their profile and manage all aspects of the competition for their students.  Students that register as independent or are made independent by teachers manage themselves.

Once you register please be sure to look for email notifications from noreply@crescendocompetition.org in your email box, add it to your email address book to ensure messages are delivered to your Inbox.

Wishing you and your students a successful 2018-2019 season!

Parents don’t have that option.

11. Your auditions information will be available in “Auditions and Payment” on the main menu bar at the top of the page.
