The Youth Orchestra of Bucks County is holding auditions on May 18th and 19th, 2019

Open Call for the 2019-2020 Season

for students 3rd-12th grade who play brass, percussion, woodwind, and string instruments

During World War II, the famous Soviet composer, Shostakovitch, was trapped in the city. He was trying to finish his Seventh Symphony. He developed a relationship with one of his piano students which provided salvation through their music.

Mozart: Requiem 

Mozart was 17 when he wrote Symphony No. 25.
He wrote the Masonic Funeral Music in his late 20s, in memory of two fellow Masons.
The Requiem was composed at the end of his life and was never finished.

The Beatitudes by Cesar Franck

A lyrically beautiful choral masterwork not to be missed!

This iconic sacred text has rarely been set to music.

Artistic Director Thomas  Lloyd directs the 100-member Choral Society, in the Sunday, March 24 modern regional premiere of French Romantic-period composer Cesar Franck's, The Beatitudes, using Catherine M. Bradley's 1899 English translation.

The Choral Society will be accompanied by the professional orchestra, Symphony in C, and includes soloists: soprano Melissa Mino, mezzo soprano Misoon Ghim, tenpr Dann Coakwell, baritone Randall Scarlata, and bass baritone Jason Switzer.
