Graeme Burgan at Cairn University May 17, 2019 Hosted by the Bucks County Association of Piano Teachers

Bucks County Association of Piano Teachers will be hosting a presentation by Graeme Burgan at Cairn University on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 9:45AM.

Graeme's topics will include:

1) The art of listening for piano students (I am passionate that good playing is 90% listening and feeling the vibrations and 10% actually playing.) Including developing awareness of overtones and sympathetic resonance to help students get to know the soul of the piano.

2) Improvisation for classical students. Relationship between genre - the nature of notation (fully notated, figured bass, jazz lead sheets, chords, nashville system, etc.). Rewriting standard piano rep as lead sheets or chord charts to help students engage their imagination and harmonic understanding of the piece.

Admission is Free. Please join us.
